Dan and Lois have been with us since 1980, becoming only the second pastoral family in our church history. Dan previously served as the Senior Pastor of two churches in Michigan. He earned his Masters of Divinity at Asbury Seminary and his Doctorate of Ministry at Western Seminary. He considers his primary leadership gifts to be preaching and vision casting.

Bob has served our church twice. Several years ago he helped us with teaching, small groups and preaching while working full time in secular work. Now he is with us full time. He and his wife, Wanda, have three children. Bob earned his Masters of Divinity from Western Seminary and is currently working on his Doctorate of Ministry.

Dennis and his wife, Mary, have ministered with us since 1994. Their extensive networking with people throughout West Michigan includes their seven children, spouses and sixteen grandchildren. Dennis has two master’s degrees from the University of Michigan and Western Seminary.

Nancy’s loyalty to our church has evolved from being a valued member to being a full time employee. She developed excellent administrative skills in secular employment, then answered the call to serve us in administration and congregational life years ago.
Rebecca Haddock, Parish Nurse

Beckie, her husband Mike and their children, began attending our church for some time before she became our Parish Nurse. In addition to her nurses training she has received certification to serve as a Parish Nurse. She coordinates all of our programs for health education, advocacy, referral and visitation.
George and Roberta Kraft, Directors of Traditional Worship and Music

Officially, Roberta is the director, but she clearly states she wouldn’t do it without George. So, we have a great team who has brought our musical performance and the esprit de corps of our musical community to a high level. They both look back on distinguished careers as professors at Hope College.
John Otto, Director of Contemporary Worship and Music

John Otto is among the premier jazz guitarists in West Michigan. In addition to teaching, performing, and creating music in his own studio, he leads our praise team of instrumentalists and singers for our contemporary worshipping community, The Gathering. Each week John and his team, which includes his wife Robbie, bring worship to our contemporary congregation that is fresh and inspiring.
Carol Mollett, Administrative Assistant

Carol serves as our receptionist at the front desk while coordinating the details of a host of tasks planned and spontaneous that keep everything running smoothly. She and her husband Bill have been members of our congregation for years, so her involvement goes far beyond the job description.
Diana VanDenBrink, Administrative Assistant for Finance

Diana’s primary ministry as a part time Administrative Assistant for Finance is to keep the records for all of our financial data. She manages our reports to the Church Board, State of Michigan, and to the IRS. She and her husband, Warren, were members long before Diana began her staff ministry with us.

Mike was a pastor in New Jersey, New York and Michigan for 40 years. Since then, he has been able to devote more time to his passions for music and flowers. How grateful we are that he has been ministering to us in recent years as one of our organists.
Mel Hershaw, Custodial and Maintenance (right)
Mel has been with us longer than any employee except Pastor Dan. Though he recently turned 90, he comes to work nearly every day, several times a day. He has been part of the life of our church going back to the 1980s.
Cheryl Robinson, Custodial and Maintenance (top)
Cheryl does custodial work plus. Plus wherever else she can make a difference. From special events to meals to weddings and memorial services, to the whirlwind of three Sunday worship services, her handprints and willing spirit are everywhere among us.
Mickie Shoffner, Custodial and Maintenance (left)
Mickie has been a vital part of our ministries for three decades and, in recent years, has taken on some part time staff responsibilities. It is hard to know where her official duties end and her volunteering takes over, but it is all good.
