Mission of Children’s Ministry

To provide quality programs for children, fostering spiritual growth and Christian community to create lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.

Nursery

Our nursery provides children birth to age four with a place to enjoy worship services where they will learn about Christ’s love through playing with toys, enjoying games and interacting with other children. Parents may bring children to the nursery area during our 9:45 and 11:15 worship services. 

Kid Connection

Children age four through fifth grade are invited to join Kid Connection during our 9:45 and 11:15 worship services.  Children will be dismissed to participate in a Bible lesson that encorporates costumes, art projects, and games that teach biblical truths and Christian themes they can apply to their everyday lives. 

Special Events

Children’s Ministry at Community Church hosts several special events throughout the year.  Children can participate in a safe and fun Trunk or Treat event in the fall, a Christmas Pageant in the winter, a Palm Sunday Celebration and Easter Egg Hunt in the spring, and Vacation Bible School in the summer. 

Volunteer Opportunities

Ministries with our children are designed and conducted by dedicated staff and laypeople.  We have many volunteer opportunities available during worship services and special events.  Volunteers help support nursery supervisors during weekly worship services.  We encourage teens and adults to help lead Kid Connection.
