| Community Church
was founded in 1965 by a group of Christians who came from a
variety of religious backgrounds seeking to worship and serve God
in unity. They were determined to minimize denominational
differences that too often divide believers, and to focus on the
central Christian message that brings people together.
We believe that Jesus Christ
is our Lord and Savior, revealed in Holy Scripture, and sent into
the world to show us the love of God. We do not insist on total
agreement regarding the fine points of biblical interpretation. We
would rather be strengthened by the healthy exchange of beliefs
that represent our Christian diversity.
We have been "Gathered
by the Cross" through the work of the Holy Spirit to worship
and serve in faithfulness to Jesus Christ. |
